Clients Terms and Conditions
We’re pleased to partner with you to help you achieve your health goals through Holistic therapies, Chinese medicine, acupuncture and other alternative interventions on the terms set out in this agreement. These terms and conditions apply to the consultations offered by Alice Mazo, whether in-person or online via video conferencing. They define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of these services. This page provides essential information regarding the protection of client’s data during consultations, detailed service fees, and our terms of payment and cancellation policies. You will also be required to sign our consent forms in person or sent by email, prior to your session.Please make sure you read this agreement carefully. We’re more than happy to answer any questions you have.
1. Agreement
This agreement governs the relationship between:
- You, the client (the person booking this appointment with us).
- The provider: Alice Mazo, operating under the name (Alice Human), as a sole proprietor.

1.1 Duration of this agreement
This agreement starts when you accept it and remains in effect until both parties have fulfilled their obligations (i.e., when you have paid our fees and we have provided the agreed services). It also applies to any future appointments you make, and by booking again, you agree to these terms.
1.2 Changing this agreement
We may revise our terms and update them on our website and online booking system. If you continue to book appointments after being informed of the changes, it means you accept the updated terms.
1.3 Accepting this agreement
You can accept this agreement by booking an appointment online, in person at our clinic, or by phone.
2. Relationship
2.1 Your responsibilities
You commit to:
- Completing any required onboarding forms promptly.
- Filling out our consent forms before your appointment to receive treatment. If you have any concerns about how our treatment might interact with your health, existing conditions, pregnancy, or other medical treatments or medications, you should consult your medical doctor.
- Informing us promptly if there are any changes to your contact or personal details.
- Paying our fees on time, including any applicable cancellation or late fees, no later than the due date.
- Providing accurate and current information that we need to deliver our services (e.g., any health conditions we should know about).
- Maintaining open, honest, and timely communication with us, as we will with you.
2.2 Mutual respect
It is essential to maintain mutual respect and treat each other in a manner that is free of aggression, dishonesty, hostility, inappropriate behavior, harassment, discrimination, or any conduct that could risk health, safety, or property.
We commit to this standard on behalf of our team, and we expect you and any individuals accompanying you to share the same approach during your health journey.
If one of us continues inappropriate behavior after being asked to stop, either party has the right to end the session.
3. Clinical Work
3.1 What work will we do?
We offer a holistic approach to your treatment by providing access to the following services:
- acupuncture
- acupressure
- cosmetic acupuncture
- Chinese herbal Medicine
- modern cupping
- moxibustion
- gua sha
- Chinese Tuina massage
- aromatherapy
- nutrition & lifestyle recommendations
The specific services we’ll provide to you will be agreed with you at the time of booking your appointment with us and confirmed with you prior to treatment commencing in session.
If you booked your appointment using our online booking system, your appointment type will be pre-selected as part of this process.
3.2 Services precautions
We adhere to strict practice standards based on professionally recognized European guidelines. The practitioner is committed to implementing infection control protocols and ensuring a safe and compliant care environment. We aim to support your health journey, but Chinese medicine may not be suitable for all conditions, including medical emergencies.
The provider holds professional certificates as well as titles not officially recognized by Conventional Medicine. These activities fall under what are termed "non-conventional" practices, aimed at relieving certain everyday ailments or enhancing, as a preventive measure, hygiene, quality of life, vitality, and overall well-being.
The client is informed and accepts that the services provided do not involve establishing any medical diagnosis or treatment for diseases.
These are complementary practices that can be used alongside conventional medical care to contribute to well-being.
It’s important that you understand that the services provided by your therapist Alice Mazo do not in any way replace a medical diagnosis and/or treatment and do not exempt you from consulting a doctor, as only a doctor is qualified to establish a medical diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment if necessary.
If you’re at all unsure, you must speak with our practitioner and your medical doctor.
We’ll explain the services we provide to you and discuss any potential side effects before we get started. If you’re unsure about how these treatments will affect you, you should ask your practitioner.
If you are unsure about how our services will interact with a medication, medical condition, or other health concern, you must consult with your doctor prior to using our services. It’s your responsibility to ensure that our services are right for you.
4. Booking process - Treatment

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive, prior to your first appointment :
- Our consent form to sign in and send back by email (or bring at the consultation)
- Fill in your clinical intake that you will receive by email, and send it back before the consultation day, by email, to : contact@humanalice.com
You warrant that you will complete your intake and consent forms truthfully and notify us if anything changes. You indemnify us in the event that you have given us a false warranty or failed to update us about changes in your personal circumstances that relate to your health.
Your expectations
We deliver our services with due care and skill and use our professional judgement to provide your treatment. However, each person will react differently to treatments and procedures, and we can’t guarantee the success or effectivity of any treatment that we administer.
Please don’t rely on anything on our website or social media as evidence of results achieved using our treatments or as measure of results you can expect to achieve from our treatments. If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss these with your practitioner.
5. Payment
What do we charge?
The fees for our treatments are listed on our website and are displayed when selecting an appointment type on our online booking platform. You agree to pay us the fees for the treatment you receive.
How you can pay us
You can pay for your consultations in person by bank transfer or in cash. Payment can be made in full either before the consultation or at the end of it.
For online consultations, payment must be made in full amount in advance. Once the date and time of your appointment have been set, your consultation will be confirmed by email at contact@humanalice.com upon receipt of the bank transfer confirmation.
What happens if you don’t pay us?
If you don’t pay us, we can choose to do one or a combination of the following:
- suspend or terminate this agreement
- charge interest on outstanding money at a rate of 10% per annum from the date you owe us the money until you pay us; and/or
- refer the matter to a debt collector or lawyer (you’ll have to pay their costs).
6. Cancellation
If you would like to cancel or reschedule your session, you must provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice before a scheduled appointment by :
- sending us an email to contact@humanalice.com, or,
- calling your therapist on : (+385) 099 207 9124
If you fail to provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice, you will be subject to the following cancellation fees:
If you are unable to attend in person, you may also request to change your appointment type to a videoconference online session (if applicable).
We may cancel or reschedule your appointment if the practicioner is unable to attend your session. If we have to do this, we’ll provide you with as much notice as possible and may offer you an alternative appointment as soon as possible.
7. Insurance
Your therapist holds a professional liability insurance policy to cover any direct, bodily, material, or immaterial damages that may be caused in the context of this agreement.
8. Confidentiality / Protection of personal data
Our confidential information
Unless you have our permission in writing or as otherwise required by law, you must keep all of our confidential information secret and confidential. Our confidential information is anything that isn’t available to the public, such as our internal documents and forms, records, suppliers, ideas, and the ways that we do business (such as our patient care model).
Client confidential information :
For processing health-related data, the legal basis is the client's consent.
Data retention period
Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (principle of data minimization). Client data will be kept for a maximum of 5 years following the end of the contractual relationship.
Types of data processed
The data controller processes the following categories of client data:
- Identification data: name, surname, date of birth, postal address, phone number, OIB, email address.
- Personal health and lifestyle data: details related to lifestyle, dietary habits, and information pertinent to the client's overall health and energy status (such as sensitivity to cold, perspiration, digestive health, pain, etc)
The data collected is necessary for the purpose of providing services.
Data sources
Data is provided directly by the client through written or verbal communication.
Data recipients
Based on their respective needs, data recipients may include those with access to protected computer systems.
Security measures
The data controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security that matches the risk. Additionally, measures are in place to guarantee that any individual acting under the authority of the data controller or a subcontractor who accesses personal data does so only on the data controller's instruction unless legally required otherwise.
Automated Decision-Making
The processing does not involve automated decision-making.
Data handling after death – Rights to access, rectification, erasure, and portability
Clients can set instructions on how their personal data should be managed, erased, or communicated after their death. These instructions can be general or specific.
Clients also have the right to access, oppose, rectify, delete, and, in some cases, request the portability of their personal data. The client may withdraw consent at any time if it serves as the legal basis for processing.
Requests should include the client’s full name, email, or postal address, be signed, and accompanied by valid proof of identity.

9. Changes to the terms and conditions
Alice Mazo reserves the right to modify the T&Cs at any time. Modifications will be applicable upon their publication on the website.
